The purpose of this laboratory is to train the students to be familiar with the software and hardware of PLC and learn about ladder logic programming. Also validate calibration of different measuring instruments. Measurement is fundamental basis of all research, design, development. It is necessary for measurement of different parameters, for which it is theoretically designed, and compare between theoretical values and actual values.


Lab Objectives:

Students can utilize this laboratory to:

  1. To familiarise experimental verification of the concepts of static characteristics.
  2. Identify and select proper measuring instrument for specific application.
  3. Illustrate working principle of measuring instruments
  4. Verifying calibration methodology and error analysis related to measuring instruments
  5. Mathematically model and analyze system/process for standard input responses
  6. Determining steady state error and error co-efficient for control systems
  7. Performing stability analysis of control systems
