Central Computing Facility is used train the students for the international market in development of Computational Geometry algorithms for application in Computer Graphics, Computer Aided Geometric Design, Manufacturing and Computer Aided Analysis and Computational Mechanics. This lab provides advanced versions of AUTOCAD, CREO, ANSYS, Autodesk Fusion 360 and Autodesk Inventor etc. Lab includes 30 + 4 Dedicated terminals with high end configuration and centralized server connectivity.

Objectives of the Lab: 

Students will be able to: 

1. Learn basic elements of CAD and relevance to current industrial practice. 

2. Design and draft 3D model in free‐form surfacing, assembly and mechanical drawings. 

3. Apply finite element model to industrial practices. 

4. Do numerical optimization and its application to parameter design. 

5. Design model and simulate and manufacture it by using Computer aided manufacturing.

6. Write part programme and execute in simulator by using G-codes & M-codes.
