Industry Academic Interaction Club (IAIC)

Industry Academic Interaction Club (IAIC) of the civil engineering department has been formed at the departmental level to focus more on industry interaction and need based technology.

The club aims at providing quality civil engineering education through good teachinglearning practices which will help them to become an entrepreneur or employable.

Major objectives of IAIC:

  • To foster educational activities which are consistent with the broad requirements of the industry 

  • To develop civil engineering students capable of coping-up with the accelerating pace of the technological development 

  • To create adequate facilities of updating knowledge of professional engineers and technologists to meet growth and developmental needs of the industry 

  • To enhance the technical ability of students to deal and execute various civil engineering projects.

Today, the industrial scenario is changing fast due to liberal economy and industrial policy recently adopted by the GoI. Re-training of the work force has become major activity for all industries. There is, thus a good opportunity for institute to interact with industries for mutual benefits. The industry-Academic Interaction Club would accrue mutual benefits when a symbiotic relationship is developed between the two systems. IAIC is a combined efforts of faculty with active participation of students.
