Metrology Laboratory is designed to examine various dimensional parameters of a component using industry grade precision instruments.
Students are encouraged to perform various practicals using these instruments and imbibe the concepts of quality control and quality assurance.
Lab Objectives:
Students can utilize this laboratory to:
- Use Vernier Calliper and Micrometer for leaner measurement.
- Use roughness tester for measuring surface roughness of machined component
- Understand importance of surface plate and gauges for various measurement applications.
- Use of profile projector and Auto-collimator for precision measurements.
