Building Material and Concrete Technology Laboratory

This Laboratory is used for performing experiments for the subjects Building Material and Concrete Technology and Advanced Concrete Technology. Students will be able to Identify and list the various building materials, their properties and symbols. Also they will be able to perform various tests on different materials cement, Sand, aggregate, advanced concrete etc.. Fineness, consistency, setting time, Soundness, Compressive  Strength, RCPT, NDT test by rebound hammer etc.

Engineering Geology Laboratory

Geology lab provides hands-on study of the fundamentals of physical geology, identification and interpretation of rocks and minerals. Geological models and topographical maps are used to study the structural geology. Rocks and mineral samples and their physical properties can be studied. Engineering Mechanics Laboratory

This laboratory is primarily used to provide and conduct engineering laboratory experiments on principles of statics and dynamics. Presently, this lab is used for undergraduate student to their laboratory experiment especially in statics and dynamics field. Students will be conducted various experiments related to the topics what have they learned before in lecture. With the passage of time, our laboratory tries to improve the equipment with new and advanced technologies and equipments in order to enhance the research attitude among students and researchers on this field.

Environmental Engineering Laboratory

This Laboratory is used for performing experiments for the subjects Environmental engineering I and Environmental engineering II. Students perform the experiments related to water and waste water i.e. to find characteristics through physical and chemical analysis of water and waste water. From this experimental  study students will be able to understand various characteristics of water and waste water as well as how this study is useful in planning water and waste water treatment plant

Fluid Mechanics Laboratory

In this lab the students are introduced to properties of fluids and basic concepts applicable to fluid mechanics and its relevance in civil engineering. Fundamentals of hydrostatics, principle of buoyancy and its application, the concept of fluid kinematics and ideal fluid flow, various flow measuring devices and their applications is also explained to students.

Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory

Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory has facility for conducting tests for determining the index and engineering properties of soil. These tests help to find out the suitability of soil for construction purposes.

Survey store

In this lab students understand appropriate methods of surveying based on accuracy and precision required availability of resources, economics and duration of project and learn techniques for measurement of distance, setting offsets, calculate area and volume using surveying instruments. Also they study the functions of various instruments, their least counts, possible errors, advantages and limitations and acknowledge the superiority and leverage of using modern methods in surveying over conventional ones.

Transportation Engineering Laboratory

The Transportation Engineering lab has equipment required to conduct all standardized tests to assess quality of highway materials, pavement evaluation and traffic engineering studies. The Transportation Engineering lab does quality assurance and quality control tests for the Roads, Traffic engineering surveys are also conducted in the lab and students learn to conduct spot speed studies, volume counts, and conflict studies for preparing road improvement plans to enhance road safety
