The CSE-DS Department proudly celebrates a year of outstanding achievements in both academics and sports for the academic year 2023–24. Our students and faculty have excelled in various competitions, internships, and research initiatives, showcasing their talent, dedication, and teamwork.

🏆 Sports Achievements:

  • Badminton (Doubles):

    • Shravani Kulkarni & Riya Sawant secured 2nd place with excellent teamwork and synchronization.

  • Table Tennis (Doubles):

    • Shlok Dalvi & Sumit Sahu achieved 1st place, demonstrating synchronized play and team spirit.

  • Kabaddi (Group Event):

    • The Data Science girls' team displayed unbeatable teamwork and strong determination.

  • Tug of War (Doubles):

    • Girls' team achieved a powerful victory, showcasing great teamwork and sportsmanship.

🎓 Academic Achievements:

  • Full Stack Developer Internships:

    • 5 CSE-DS students successfully completed internships in collaboration with IEEE Bombay Section and Alhnasat Solutions.

    • Internship Duration: 15/09/2023 to 31/10/2023.

  • Aavishkar Research Competition:

    • Research projects by 4 students qualified for the Aavishkar Final Round at the University of Mumbai.

    • Highlighted students: Sneha Sabat, Riya Sawant, Tarun Panchal, and Rutuja Patil.

 👩‍🏫Faculty Achievements:

  • Prof. Vaibhav Vavalkar authored and published a paper on The E-Healthcare System in an international journal.

  • Prof. Rajashri Chaudhari published research on DOS Attack Prevention Techniques on Delay Tolerant Networks.

  • 2 faculty members earned PCAP certification in Python.

  • 6 faculty members completed IBM Faculty Buildathon in Data Analytics using Cognos.
