On 13th March 2025, the DevOps Club organized a hands-on session on Linux Fundamentals, led by third-year information technology student Mr. Shreyas Narvekar. The session aimed to introduce students to the basics of Linux and its importance in the world of DevOps and cloud computing. It started with an overview of various Linux distributions and their real-world applications. Participants learned how to navigate the Linux file system, understand user and group management, and explore the significance of file permissions. 

The workshop also included topics on process monitoring and software package management. Shreyas provided hands-on demonstrations to make learning interactive and practical. Students were also introduced to terminal-based text editors and basic scripting to automate tasks. The session ended with a fun quiz to reinforce key concepts. Overall, the workshop successfully equipped students with essential Linux knowledge and boosted their confidence in using it for academic and professional purposes.
