The Cipherium Hackathon, organized by the Cybersecurity Club of A. P. Shah Institute of Technology on 16 March 2026, provided an engaging platform for students to gain hands-on experience in real-world cybersecurity challenges. Participants from APSIT and various intercollegiate institutions showcased their skills in domains such as cryptography, web security, reverse engineering, and digital forensics by solving problem-based challenges. Following the initial Capture the flag round, 16 intercollegiate students and 60 APSIT students qualified for the 5-hour hackathon, where teams developed innovative cybersecurity solutions and explored vulnerability assessment techniques. The event successfully enhanced participants’ technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and practical understanding of cyber-attack and defense mechanisms, while also fostering innovation and competitive spirit among students.
