Our career guidance - SocioTechnical session, “𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 - 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬” conducted on 28𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 2025 at Muktangan School’s Prabhadevi and Worli branches with collaboration APSIT's Data Science and Analytics Club. Topics covered included career opportunities, essential skills, emerging trends in AI and ML, and practical steps to get started in data science. Live project demonstrations sparked curiosity and innovation among attendees.

The workshop on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) with Hugging Face & LangChain conducted by Yash Baviskar was a deep dive into building intelligent AI systems that retrieve and generate accurate answers. Building an AI chatbot using vector databases with Hugging Face and LangChain involves leveraging a combination of tools for natural language processing, vector embeddings, and document-based retrieval. This process utilizes Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), which allows your chatbot to retrieve relevant information from a vector database and generate contextually accurate responses.

In collaboration with Data Science Wizards (DSW), successfully hosted Hackscript APSIT 6.0, a 24-hour hackathon held on 8th–9th March 2025. This flagship event provided a platform for students to solve real-world problems under the theme "Innovations in Artificial Intelligence." The institute was honored by the presence of Mr. Sandeep Khuperkar, CEO & Co-founder of Data Science Wizards, as Chief Guest. The judging panel comprised Mr. Saurabh Singh and Mr. Hardik Rana, Senior Data Scientists at DSW. Participants worked on two challenging problem statements, showcasing their technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration. The hackathon featured expert mentorship, live coding, and multiple evaluation rounds, culminating in the announcement of winners

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) successfully organized the Ideathon: Data to Decisions – AI-Driven Insights, providing a competitive platform for students to apply their knowledge and creativity in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Participants were given a real-world problem statement at 9:00 AM and challenged to develop AI-driven solutions within a strict 4-hour timeframe. The event encouraged critical thinking, rapid problem-solving, and effective team collaboration.

On 27th February 2025, a session on “Essentials for GATE Preparation” was conducted, led by the esteemed Mr. Rajesh Singh Vats, providing valuable insights to students regarding the significance of the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) for higher studies and career advancement. The session offered an in-depth overview of the GATE exam format and its critical role in securing admission to top educational institutions and placement opportunities in both the public and private sectors.

The Essentials for GRE and IELTS seminar took place on 11th February 2025 at 11:00 AM in Venue 112, offering attendees an insightful session on preparing for GRE and IELTS exams and understanding their significance for higher studies. Led by Mr. Ameya Phadke, participants gained valuable information on score requirements, exam formats, and study destinations. Attendees left the seminar with a better understanding of GRE and IELTS score benchmarks, helping them make informed decisions about their preparation.

Under the DataVerse 1.0 series, DataHour 6 featured an engaging session titled “Exploring Python: Real-World Applications & Hands-On Learning”, conducted by Ms. Mayuri Jain. The session provided students with a strong foundation in Python programming, emphasizing its relevance in data science and AI.

As part of the DataVerse 1.0 initiative, DataHour 5 offered an inspiring session titled “Career Roadmap in AI and Data Analytics”, conducted by Ms. Preeti Muley. This insightful session provided students with a clear direction for navigating the dynamic fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.

As part of the DataVerse 1.0 series, students took a deep dive into emerging technologies during DataHour 4, titled “Unlocking the Future: A Journey Through Blockchain, Smart Contracts, and Beyond.” The session, held by Ms. Neha Deshmukh, offered an enlightening overview of blockchain innovation and its transformative potential across industries.

As part of DataVerse 1.0, our students participated in an insightful session titled “Analyzing the Future – Data Insights for Grads,” held on 6th February 2025. The session was expertly conducted by Ms. Rutuja Patole, who provided a comprehensive introduction to the field of Data Analytics.The session also covered powerful tools like 𝗗𝗢𝗠𝗢, 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗜, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘂, providing a strong foundation for aspiring data professionals.
