The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) successfully organized the Ideathon: Data to Decisions – AI-Driven Insights, providing a competitive platform for students to apply their knowledge and creativity in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Participants were given a real-world problem statement at 9:00 AM and challenged to develop AI-driven solutions within a strict 4-hour timeframe. The event encouraged critical thinking, rapid problem-solving, and effective team collaboration.

On 27th February 2025, a session on “Essentials for GATE Preparation” was conducted, led by the esteemed Mr. Rajesh Singh Vats, providing valuable insights to students regarding the significance of the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) for higher studies and career advancement. The session offered an in-depth overview of the GATE exam format and its critical role in securing admission to top educational institutions and placement opportunities in both the public and private sectors.

The Essentials for GRE and IELTS seminar took place on 11th February 2025 at 11:00 AM in Venue 112, offering attendees an insightful session on preparing for GRE and IELTS exams and understanding their significance for higher studies. Led by Mr. Ameya Phadke, participants gained valuable information on score requirements, exam formats, and study destinations. Attendees left the seminar with a better understanding of GRE and IELTS score benchmarks, helping them make informed decisions about their preparation.

Under the DataVerse 1.0 series, DataHour 6 featured an engaging session titled “Exploring Python: Real-World Applications & Hands-On Learning”, conducted by Ms. Mayuri Jain. The session provided students with a strong foundation in Python programming, emphasizing its relevance in data science and AI.

As part of the DataVerse 1.0 initiative, DataHour 5 offered an inspiring session titled “Career Roadmap in AI and Data Analytics”, conducted by Ms. Preeti Muley. This insightful session provided students with a clear direction for navigating the dynamic fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.

As part of the DataVerse 1.0 series, students took a deep dive into emerging technologies during DataHour 4, titled “Unlocking the Future: A Journey Through Blockchain, Smart Contracts, and Beyond.” The session, held by Ms. Neha Deshmukh, offered an enlightening overview of blockchain innovation and its transformative potential across industries.

As part of DataVerse 1.0, our students participated in an insightful session titled “Analyzing the Future – Data Insights for Grads,” held on 6th February 2025. The session was expertly conducted by Ms. Rutuja Patole, who provided a comprehensive introduction to the field of Data Analytics.The session also covered powerful tools like 𝗗𝗢𝗠𝗢, 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗜, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘂, providing a strong foundation for aspiring data professionals.

As part of DataVerse 1.0, our students recently participated in an enriching DataHour1 session titled "AWS Essentials: Insight on Cloud Architecture & Real-World Demos," held on 3rd February 2025. The session was led by cloud expert Mr. Karthikeyan V, who shared both foundational concepts and practical applications of AWS cloud technology.

The EduSkills TechCamp on Google AI-ML held from January 13 to 15, 2025, was a comprehensive training event hosted by APSIT in collaboration with EduSkills Foundation and Google for Developers and AICTE. The program aimed to provide participants with hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, focusing on practical applications and real-world scenarios.

The Department of CSE – Data Science at APSIT organized a workshop titled "Efficient Project Documentation with LaTeX", conducted by Prof. Vishal Badgujar. The session was designed to help BE Data Science students enhance their technical documentation skills using LaTeX.During the workshop, students learned how to structure professional project reports, format content effectively, manage citations, and handle large-scale documentation efficiently. The session provided hands-on experience and practical tips, equipping students with valuable skills for academic and professional reporting.
