The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) at A. P. Shah Institute of Technology hosted an engaging and fun-filled event, Tech Codethon, on 23rd September 2024. Designed to blend entertainment with technical challenge, the event featured two exciting phases: a Fun Activity followed by a Tech Activity. Held at Room 208AB from 2:30 PM onwards, Tech Codethon encouraged creative thinking, teamwork, and coding under pressure. Participants were grouped into random teams, promoting collaboration among students across batches and departments.

The Department of CSE – Data Science at APSIT organized an expert session titled "Literature Review: A Process of Structuring the Research", delivered by Dr. Mugdha Agarwadkar, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, APSIT. The session aimed to guide students on the importance of conducting a literature review and how it plays a critical role in the research process. Dr. Mugdha Agarwadkar shared effective methods for structuring research reviews, identifying credible sources, and synthesizing existing knowledge to build a strong foundation for academic projects and papers. Attendees gained valuable insights into developing a clear research direction through systematic literature exploration. The session was especially beneficial for students involved in academic writing and final-year projects.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) at A. P. The session was conducted by Ms. Neha Deshmukh, Senior Consultant at Capgemini. Aimed specifically at Third-Year Data Science students, the session focused on unraveling the complexities of network layers and communication protocols. Held in Room 211 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, the event provided students with valuable industry insights and a deeper understanding of computer networking concepts. This interactive session enriched students’ theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, bridging the gap between academics and industry practices.

Department of CSE (Data Science) hosted a session titled “Unpacking Web Technology: Dive into JavaScript and React Fundamentals” on 28th August 2024. The session was conducted by Mr. Parth Bhoir, Technical Head at Unifiq Digital Services. Targeted at Third-Year Data Science students, this session aimed to equip learners with practical knowledge of core web technologies. Held in Room 208 (A & B) from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, the session covered essential JavaScript concepts and foundational React principles. Through interactive demonstrations and real-world insights, students gained hands-on understanding of front-end development, setting a strong base for future web application projects.

Organized a focused workshop titled "From Code to Database: Java Development with IntelliJ and MySQL" exclusively for SE CSE Div-B students. The session was conducted by Prof. Sachin Takmare from the Department of Computer Engineering.The workshop aimed to introduce students to building dynamic Java applications using IntelliJ IDEA and establishing JDBC connectivity with MySQL. Key topics included setting up database-driven projects, handling connections efficiently, and understanding the integration between code and database in real-world applications.The session provided valuable hands-on experience, enhancing students' understanding of full-stack Java development and preparing them for more advanced project work.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) conducted an insightful hands-on session titled "Mastering MySQL and Python ORM: Bridging Databases with Code" on 22nd and 23rd August 2024. The session was led by Ayush Gupta, a TE CSE (Data Science) student. The interactive format and hands-on activities allowed students to gain practical experience in database connectivity and backend logic. Attendees were encouraged to bring their own laptops for a fully immersive learning experience.

Our final-year BE students recently benefited from an enlightening session titled "Interview Mastery: From Application to Job Offer," conducted by our esteemed alumnus, Mr. Tanay Jain. The session offered invaluable guidance on mastering interview techniques in today’s competitive job market.

The interactive format encouraged student participation and fostered meaningful discussions around real-world recruitment scenarios and personal branding.

Interview Breakthrough: Techniques to Land Your Dream Job took place on 5th August 2024 at 11:00 AM in Venue 008, offering attendees an insightful session on acing interviews and impressing employers. Led by esteemed speaker Ms. Preeti Muley, participants embarked on an enlightening journey to unlock their potential and excel in their interviews, enhancing their confidence and readiness for job interviews. The practical approach ensured practical knowledge acquisition.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) organized a highly informative session titled “Empowering Projects: Web Dev and ML Essentials” on 18th July 2024. This student-led initiative was conducted by Riya Sawant and Rutuja Patil, final-year students of BE CSE (Data Science). The session, held in Room 101 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, aimed to empower fellow students with the necessary skills and strategies to transform their project ideas into impactful realities.
